He attended Pioneer Schools and later graduated with a degree in Education from Central State College. He earned both a Masters and Doctorate Degree from the University of Oklahoma. He began his teaching career in the Oklahoma City Public School System as a counselor and administrator. He went on to the University of Oklahoma as an Administrator in Continuing Education. He took great pride in the services HOPE continuously provided for the Southside of Oklahoma City. He retired from education while teaching at Central State University. He remained a Board Member at Metro-Tech Vocational Services until the time of his death. Don’s life was a continuous journey to help the community develop educational and mental health services. Also surviving are his mother, Lilly B. Hall, sister, Arlene Bell and grandchildren, Amy Lacy, Alycia Lacy, Michael Lacy and Caleb Robertson. Don was surrounded by his family in his home when he peacefully went to be with the Lord November 17, 2001. His spirit remains strong with his family and many friends that survive him.
